No Complaints, Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick Wireless LAN Adapter Review

I can say nothing bad about this wireless LAN adapter. The delivery folks dropped off my TV and within minutes I was connected to my home network and streaming wireless video. Doesn't get any easier than that.

The device itself is sleek and looks very cool... just like the Samsung LN46C650 it's plugged into. (Not that it really matters, though, because it is completely hidden from view.)

The first time I plugged it in, the TV prompted me to turn on wireless... I did, and it immediately saw my network SSID. Plugged in the password and voila, connected. Completely painless experience.

Connectivity has been flawless. In some reviews, I've read about issues people have had with dropped connections or not enough signal strength. I really think this has more to do with their router than this device itself. In my case, my router is on the third floor... the TV is on the first. I'm having no trouble streaming video in 720p via DLNA. If you are one who IS having connectivity issues, check and see if your router is able to use a third party firmware. I'm using a WRT54GL (the "L" is important here) flashed to run Tomato. This allowed me to up my transmit power on the router from a default "42" to "70." If Tomato is an option, I'd strongly recommend it.

Samsung Lan Adapter, Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick Wireless LAN Adapter Review

Works well for me, used the automatic set up feature with my router and it took care of itself. Rated per hardware experience...Pretty expensive for a product with only one use but works as described. Wish Samsung would offer a better Internet tool (browser) like the one on my Wii. Maybe it will be available soon?

Very good product, Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick Wireless LAN Adapter Review

I use this wireless adapter all the time. Very easy to set up. I just plugged it in to the USB port on the back of my new samsung LEDTV and synced it up with my wireless router. Netflix and Pandora streamed right to my tv without having to go through my ps3 or wii is awesome. Pandora over my surround sound is where it's at!

WiFi For my new Samsung 55' 3D LED/LCD TV, Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick Wireless LAN Adapter Review

If you have a WiFi-ready Samsung device this Samsung Wireless LAN Adapter is what you need. The setup was easy. I have another one on my Samsung 3D Blu-ray player. WiFi allows for internet-based updates as well as internet-based applications such as Netflix, internet radio plus many more depending on your device. Amazon with Amazon Prime free two day shipping is the way to go. Amazon's price also beat Best Buy and other vendors for this product.

Samsung Wireless LAN Adaptor for Blu-Ray Player, Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick Wireless LAN Adapter Review

I have the Samsung LN52A-650 LCD TV and the BD-P1600 Blu-Ray player. I have wireless internet access in my house. Initially, I had a real problem getting the BR player to connect to the internet. It would find my SSID but would not connect. When I set the configuration to manual and input all the requested information, it failed the Ping test. After hours of troubleshooting, I found a piece of information on the web, telling me that the SSID cannot have characters or spaces in the ID. I had spaces in the SSID name, so once I fixed that, it connected without a problem. I didn't need to buy a new wireless router. That seemed to be the leading fix for this problem for others on the web. However, I didn't want to go through the hassle of re-configuring a new wireless router nor did I wanted to spend the money on one. In the end, I didn't have to.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job but hate proprietary equipment, Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick Wireless LAN Adapter Review

We purchased a Samsung Blu-Ray / Internet capable machine. It states it has wire and wireless capabilities. Little do they tell you if you want wireless you MUST purchase this product. No other USB capable wireless adapter will work. Thanks for sticking us with another $75 we didn't expect.
